-What to know-

All fishing licenses required by the state of Florida are provided by Night Heron Light Tackle. Capt. Buddy Kirkhart is U.S. Coastguard Licensed and Insured. He believes in C.P.R. (Catch, Photo, Release) Cold Water is provided for anglers to stay hydrated during trips. There will be a small cooler with ice for food or drinks. Rain gear is not provided. Charters are for 2 anglers unless otherwise stated.
Fly Casters- Normal casting distance is 30-45 feet. It would be beneficial to know how to double haul. Sometimes the winds can pick up and you may have to punch the fly into tight areas. Please practice your casting technique before your trip. It will help when those fish appear!!

Cancellation policy- cancellations due to inclement weather are at the captain’s discretion. If the client wishes to cancel and the captain deems the weather good enough for the trip, the $100 deposit will be forfeited. When cancellations occur due to unforeseen emergencies the captain will retain the $100 deposit and make every effort to reschedule at a later time.

-What to bring-

We recommend a hat, polarized glasses, sunscreen,(no spray sunscreen please!)and long sleeves for daytime trips. Please leave your black soled shoes at home. Boat shoes/ non scuffing shoes are a must!! Nighttime can get chilly, so if you are prone to being cold a jacket is a good thing to have. If you have a "lucky" fishing rod that you want to bring, you are welcome to do so. Snacks such as cookies or chips, or specific drinks, such as Gatorade or soda are good things to bring along.
